ABSTRACT
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are transforming applied mathematics by delivering novel solutions to complex problems. Three distinctive standard problems in applied mathematics are studied in this paper:
i. Solving fractional differential equations (FDEs).
ii. Maximizing non-convex functions in portfolio management, and
iii. Reconstructing sparse signals in compressed sensing,
For each problem, we present a mathematical model, a specialized AI/ML algorithm, and a comprehensive implementation.
